good food ,good service, good everything. but we wont be going back. why? BECAUSE ITS TOO LOUD! not only couldnt we have a conversation but the noise of other people shouting at each other was almost painful.

Ah, now this is more like it. Following the recent disappointment at "Relish", I heeded the wisdom of these pages and went to the Dunorlan Park Cafe for lunch.

I was not disappointed: a hearty (and delicious) meal and a large mug of tea for less than four pounds. And in such a lovely setting, too. I am sure that I shall be spending many lunchtimes, here, but, given the size of the portions, I am glad that there is plenty of room in the park to take some exercise.

Hi Gj, thanks hugely for both your wonderful comments, we're so glad that you enjoyed the Dunorlan Park Cafe and agreed with our Relish review. Thanks very much for reading and taking the time to leave your mini-review, we really appreciate it.

Once again, took the advice of this great site and headed off to Dunloran Park one Sunday to partake of VERY generous full english prior to a walk around the park, highly recommended, and will be returning.

I am a regular visitor to this cafe which is very good value and is in beautiful surroundings. However, I would happily pay a bit more for better quality sausages, bacon and Heinz beans, less watery sauces etc.(meat could be sourced from Fullers, Nelson Road). Ice Cream is also great value.

I appear to be in the minority as I'm disappointed with my 3 experiences at the cafe in Dunorlan Park. Knowing it is owned by the gentleman who owns/owned the cafe in Calverley Grounds when I used to visit about 10 years ago I expected good things but no such luck. Long waits for substandard bacon sandwiches. Plus having to explain 3-4 times what we want. Not worth the trek round the lake.
