I am looking into the history of Tunbridge Wells Biscuits for my own website www.bakingforbritian.blogspot.com. I have a description of them as being delicate and lacy, about 3 inches in diameter, and good with wine. I also have a recipe for them (from another source) that would produce a shortbread type biscuit flavoured with caraway seeds. I am not sure of the original origin of this recipe. Have you ever eaten a Tunbridge Wells Biscuit, or do you know what they tasted and lookd like? I would like to have a go at making a batch, but I would like to try and match Romary's recipe.
Thanks for any help given on this subject.

I have a personal interest in the Romary Bisuit story. Alfred Romary was my Great Grandfather.
I have been working on compiling a wider story about the Business using the information available in Tunbridge Wells as well as archive material elsewhere. My mother and her Cousins have been able to provide some background information as well.
Part of the family are now in the US. We have a reunion planned for 2007 near to an ageing Cousin so she will not have to travel.
I would love to hear from anybody who has any lnowledge of the business - its workings - recipes for the famous biscuits - any tins or other memorabilia that people might have. I intend to take all this to California next year.
Many thanks 'Romary'
